Haiku (one single impression) - Laughter

The week's prompt from One Single Impression (online haiku community) is laughter. I laugh a lot. I find a lot of things in life ironic and funny. Of course, I sometimes laugh at not so opportune moments... a like so.

Your flushed cheeks, clenched fists
Furrowed brow, taut lips, all say
I should stop laughing.

That's fun! The pace and the irony make me laugh with you. Thanks, Sean.

spoken so easily...

What a surprising ending. You speak from an 'enlightened' space.

I hooted when I read this! It reminds me of children with their rapidly changing emotions and easily bruised feelings. We have to be so sensitive to them, yet often get it so wrong. And they look so cute doing just exactly what you have described. Great poem.

It's sometimes so very hard to stop laughing when this occurs with one of my twins! He is so very sensitive.
