Haiku - Boulders, Rocks, Stones and Pebbles

Must take it out now!
I thought it was a boulder…
Pebble in my shoe.

This haiku is part of an online poetry project called One Deep Breath. The topic was Boulders, Rocks, Stones, and Pebbles. I try to go with the first thing that the topic brings to mind. It's funny how much a little thing can hurt!

Well done! The source of pain is never as big as we think it is! Yet it rules while it's there.

The fruit of hiking adventures for me are the pebbles in my shoes that always, always, always hitch a ride.

A worry, an addiction, stress all can be THAT pebble in our shoe. Expereincing relief when something is done about it and the pebble is taken out. IS that what your words are alluding to? Good take on the prompt.

It's true: it always feels bigger than it really is. Just like our worries...

This is an authentic piece with a wonderful leap from the second to the third line.
